This is award for the most theoretically innovative article published in Feminist Studies over the past year, 2020.
The essay calls for an analysis of how much of the #MeToo movement overlooks how racial capitalism and class domination enable harassment, distinguishes “legitimate working women” from sex workers, and imagines the state as well as HR departments as uncomplicated allies.
The announcement of this award will also appear in the forthcoming issue of Feminist Studies, 47:2.
