Please join us on on October 11 as we celebrate the launch of “Mapping LGBTQ St. Louis.”  This project examines the history of LGBTQ St. Louis from the perspective of the “divided city.” The map foregrounds the ways that race, gender, sexuality, policing and violence, and other factors  shaped the St. Louis region’s LGBTQ communities. We will showcase the map—18 months in the making—and hear from folks who were there “in the day.”  And there will be cake!

“Mapping LGBTQ St. Louis” is funded by the Divided City Initiative, Center for the Humanities, Washington University in St. Louis, as part of a Mellon Foundation grant.
