Queer Hits for Hitler's Hollywood:Bruno Balz, Zarah Leander, and the Nazis

Taking the songwriter Bruno Balz as his case study, Jürgen Kuttner looks at the possibilities of—and limits on—art to challenge political repression. With clips of performances of Balz's songs, Kuttner will guide us through his biography to tell the untold story of queer cabaret within the context of Nazi culture.
