Pride Alliance: Gender Inclusive Clothing Swap
We are partnering with SWAP and PLUS to host a sustainable, gender inclusive clothing swap in the gargoyle. We will be collecting donations all week, and ticket proceeds will go directly to MTUG (the metro trans umbrella group in stl)’s Queer Trans Flat.
The queer trans flat is a really unique and wonderful part of the stl community—the executive director and co-founder of MTUG (Sayer Johnson) started the qtf as a way to give shelter and support to trans people, specifically trans people of color, who otherwise wouldn’t have anywhere to go.
A donation bin and poster will be in the front of the DUC (by the mudd field enterance) the week leading up to the swap for donations. Tickets are $3 for one day entry, and $5 for two (once you buy an entrance ticket, you can take as many clothes as you want and come in and out). All proceeds go to the stl trans queer flat.
We will be tabling in tisch commons the week before (I believe Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11-2) to presell tickets or you can buy a ticket at the door.
